Brad Teasdale – Fine Art & Design
Brad Teasdale

Bradford Teasdale left a promising career in finance 10 years ago to follow his dream of working with his hands. He studied the classical Roman and Byzantine traditions of mosaic artwork, and cut thousands of pieces of glass by hand to refine his skills. He was soon invited to teach mosaic courses at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, NY.  During his tenure, Brad was introduced to a wide variety of hot glass techniques that he assimilated into his work.

Through his exploration of materials, Brad perfected a new technique using concrete and glass. With concrete, he introduced a clean, durable, and contemporary aesthetic to his work. He was soon commissioned to create a number of pieces for use in architecture and design. It is this fusion of ancient glasswork and modern concrete design that marks Brad’s signature work.

Brad is a founding partner of the boutique glass design company Brooklyn Glassworks. He has collaborated with numerous architects and designers on projects from custom furniture to structural walls. His fine art explores the harmony between man, nature and time; and is represented in private collections across the country. His most recent work integrates multi-media laser cut designs with concrete.
